The complete production line arranges from right to left with the following unit sequence:
Entry coil car → Decoiler → Press and pinch device → Hydraulic cutter → Looper 1 → Side guide device → Slitter → Scrap winder → Looper 2 → Tension stand → Recoiler → Exit coil car
Steel coils pass through each unit in the order shown above, running continuously from uncoiling to recoiling. The entry coil car delivers the coil to the decoiler. The decoiler unwinds the steel plate while the press and pinch device pushes it forward. The hydraulic cutter trims the uneven coil head. The strip passes through looper 1 for buffering before entering the side guide device which ensures proper centering. The slitter cuts the steel plate into multiple narrow strips while the scrap winder collects the edge trim. The strips pass through looper 2 and the tension stand before entering the recoiler which winds them into finished coils. The exit coil car carries the finished coils away.
Older cutting slitting machines rely on operators to adjust tension, manage speed, and correct wandering based on experience. Training a skilled operator typically takes months or even half a year. When an experienced worker leaves, replacements cannot keep up and production stops.
This cutting slitting machine uses PLC centralized control with one button start for the entire line. Operators set the slitting width and production quantity on the touchscreen. The machine automatically handles feeding, uncoiling, trimming, slitting, and recoiling without requiring workers to judge acceleration or deceleration timing.
