After entering the slitting section, the steel sheet passes through a side guide device, where vertical rollers on both sides center the sheet to prevent lateral drift. It then enters the slitter; the main unit features a pair of circular blades with clearances adjusted according to sheet thickness, wider gaps for thick sheets and narrower gaps for thin ones. Theresulting narrow strips feature uniform widths and clean edges, while a scrap winder automatically winds up the scrap edge strips.
